RENTER: one person in the group. You are trying to rent an apartment in Beijing. Walk around the classroom and visit each of the different Landlords.
Your total monthly budget is ¥8000 per month per apartment. (The budget refreshes for each apartment; you're acting as different "renter" each time.) Remember that you are also using this budget to pay for many other daily necessities like food, transportation, etc). Decide your own reasonable price point.
Ask about the features of its apartment, its location, its price, deposits, etc.
Feel free to negotiate prices.
When you are ready to rent an apartment, fill out the Renter Card with your name and the monthly rent and give it to the Landlord.
You must rent at least 4 different apartments. (Can rent more.)
LANDLORD: the other person in the group. Stay by your advertisement and use it to try to get visitors to rent your apartment!
You can rent the apartment as many times as you want, but to different people.
Feel free to negotiate prices.
Switch roles after 10 minutes.
Whichever group receives the most total money wins! Prizes available!
