PROJECT: CHINA TRAVEL POSTERS

Challenge:
  • In a group of 2,​ CREATE A POSTER depicting a "winter vacation trip" you took to three Chinese cities.
    • Your poster must be on posterboard (any kind). It should include pictures (drawn or printed) and be colored.
    • Research the complete route (including all transportation links) from your home to the three cities and back.
    • Visit at least one tourist attraction in each city and describe your route there.
  • ​​​​​​​The finished poster should be creative, compelling, and professional.​

In-Class Activity:
  • ​Hang up your China Travel Poster along the walls of the classroom.
  • Gallery Walk Activity:
    • One person in the group walks around visiting the other posters.
    • The other person receives visitors and explains why their trip was awesome.
    • Then switch roles.
  • Vote on the "best winter vacation trip." Winners receive prizes!​

Challenge:
  • Record a video with a native speaker of Chinese. In this video, please talk about transportation:
    • Discuss different modes of transportation.
    • Describe a transportation route you take (to school, work, home, etc.) step-by-step. Be specific.
    • Compare and contrast different cities.
    • Describe writing emails and text messages. 
  • Must be at least 2 minutes long. ​​

  • Write a creative story or dialogue about "transportation." Make your story come alive with pictures.
