PROJECT: "MAHJONG" CULTURE QUEST


​Part A: Learn about the game of Majhong through your cultural notes in the textbook and other online resources. Create a multimedia presentation (slideshow, poster, etc.) about Majhong in Chinese culture. Include a short summary of the game, its basic rules, and its significance in Chinese life.

Part B: Play a real game of mahjong with your classmates (requires four players). You must be familiar with the basic rules of the game.

PROJECT: NATIVE CHAT

Challenge:
  • Record a video with a native speaker of Chinese. In this video, talk about wealth management:
    • Discuss the importance of saving money.
    • Discuss different ways to invest money.
    • Discuss the process of purchasing a house.
    • Debate the balance between saving and spending.
