Boss Stage #2: Reading

- Review all the textbook lessons from Levels 21-24.
Mastery Task:
- Read random selections from “Superboss J" Reading: Flashcards.
- Read aloud to the teacher.
- Must be in shuffle mode (i.e. random cards).
- Must start with Chinese.
Boss Stage #3: Grammar
Learning Objective:
Mastery Task:
- Review all the key grammar structures from Levels 21-24.
Mastery Task:
- Complete random exercises from "Superboss J" Grammar: Flashcards.
- Puzzle Cards: solve the given grammar puzzle (detective, fill in the blank, sentence scrambling, etc.)
- Rule Cards: explain the given grammar rule using English.
- Translation Cards: translate the sentence accurately into Chinese.
- Grammar Cards: use the given structure to make your own example sentence.
- Must be in shuffle mode (i.e. random cards).
- Must answer with Definition.
Boss Stage #4: Story Narration
Learning Objective:
- Review all the following key cohesive devices:

- Write a coherent story in Chinese with a clear progression of ideas. Demonstrate your ability to use appropriate transitional elements and cohesive devices.

- In your Journal, use the given prompt to write a narrative story in Chinese based on the four pictures.
- The four pictures in the rubric present a story. Imagine you are writing the story to a friend. Give your story a beginning, a middle, and an end.

- Exchange small talk with another person.
- Describe the furniture, layout, and surroundings of your living quarters.
- Discuss the pros and cons of living on and off campus.
- Talk about your favorite Chinese dishes, flavors, and restaurants.
- Debate the merits of different regional Chinese cuisines.
- Discuss your favorite and least favorite items of clothing.
- Discuss your shopping preferences and criteria.

- Have a conversation about these topics.
